Tonight I treated my son (and myself) to Chinese and ate about a third of a cup of moo-shu chicken!  It tasted fine and is still sitting where it is supposed to!  Brave new world out there!

Tonight I made some chili. I used Turkey meat instead of ground beef. Wasn't to bad.

Hmmmm..... Cleaned out the freezer today and made some homemade chili and cooked a tri-tip ... Haven't decided which to have yet, but I guess I'd better decide pretty soon.

Lil tiny bit of whole wheat penne pasta with chucks of turkey breast, portbello mushrooms in a light florentine sauce ( I add lots of chopped spinach!)= 200 cal; 19 grms of protein and yummmmmmyyyyyyyyy! I have been so bored with just my standard lean protein, because often that's all I could eat with my current restriction- never can get in fruits or veggies, so trying more creative recipes....Tried Chinese style shrimp with broccoli florets last nights- also turned out very good! Nancy- it sounds like you enjoy seafood the way I do. I hooked up with a commercial fisherman this week and I will be able to buy fresh whole grouper right off his boat for $5.50/lb. That's awesome- I usually pay $9-11/lb for fillets. And a pound of fillets goes a long way for me. Sheila

I am a work in progress and I am committed to progress with the work ahead of me.....

Hey girls...   Tonight I brought some grilled lemon chicken and some string beans, they are yummy!!!  Last night Rex and I made Steak Filets and asaparagus on the grill, boy were they tasty!!!  That Penne Pasta with Turkey and mushrooms in florentine sauce sounds wonderful Sheila!  I'll have to try and make it...  I can't wait to move into my house so I can start freezing some of these wonderful foods - that chili sounds heavenly also!  mmmm... I guess I should eat my dinner I'm getting hungry!  lol!!! bye4now!
